Stirring the Pot: Volume 3

A quick introduction: Stirring the Pot was born in 2008 (as Volume 1) when Kim and Brian decided to mix it up and travel/volunteer in Peru and Bolivia for about five months. Our amazing family and friends wanted to follow our adventures, so we obliged and posted photos and stories from our travels.

Volume 2 was launched in 2010 to serve as our wedding website and get the family and friends prepped for that epic weekend in Oregon. Damn! That was a good party and wedding.

Now we have decided to re-launch Stirring the Pot as Volume 3. The current setting: Kim is pregnant with the first Kimybrian offspring, lovingly referred to by the nickname "Brim." He or she is set to make an appearance in November 2015. Brian has just recently been diagnosed with a serious disease and has a long road of treatment ahead.

What has not changed throughout the volumes is our amazing network of family and friends that care so much about us. We have received an absolutely humbling amount of love and support in the last couple weeks. We will use Volume 3 to update you all on our progress and may use it as a way to request support when needed. While we have very much appreciated all the emails and Facebook messages, we think it would be easier for us to manage this blog and have all your messages in one place. Please feel free to comment on our posts and we will be checking frequently.

Photos!

We haven't blogged since the wedding because we've been busy recovering, honeymooning and now back to real life. But we want to thank you all so, so, so much for celebrating our wedding with us. It was an amazing day and an incredible weekend.

Logistics

We can't believe the wedding is coming up this week. So many of you (like us) are probably of a suddenly wondering about some of the logistics.

When?
The wedding ceremony begins at 4:00 pm at the Pine Cone Bluff at the Resort at the Mountain. The music will go until 10 pm, but since many of you are staying at the hotel the party will likely go on for longer.

How long will it take to get there?
NOTE: There will likely be traffic in Portland on Friday afternoon at 3pm, so plan accordingly.
From Portland (downtown): approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
From PDX Airport: approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
From Seattle: 3 hours 45 minutes (could be extra because of construction on I-205 near Portland)
From the Oregon Coast (Seaside): 2 hours 30 minutes
From Condon: 2 hours 50 minutes (there shouldn't be much traffic)
From Chicago: 1 day 10 hours (hopefully most of you took a flight!)

Transportation?
Your best bet may be a rental car if you are travelling with a few others and can split the cost. Otherwise, you should be able to set up a town car or small bus shuttle out to the resort (probably would cost ~$80 each way). Here are some options.

Engagement Photos

We met our wedding photographer, Jessica Hill, a few weeks ago in Portland and she took some photos of us... mostly goofing around. She posted some photos on her BLOG.
